just last week, my BMM tutor approach my class to help out with the EFFIE awards - judging event. EFFIE awards is an award that is given to the most effective advertisement. like you know the adverts you see on tv, at the bus stops, etc.. yeah. so me and some of my classmates went to Shangri-La Hotel ytd evening for the briefing and check the items for the judging to take place the next day.

woke up real early today as we had to reach Shangri-La Hotel by 7.15am! haha. spent time preparing and going through the creatives (tvcs, posters, radio etc...). soon the judges began to reach and the judging event begin. we had 6 different rooms for 6 different panels. each panels has about 3 to 4 categories of campaigns to judge.

my classmates and i were there to help with the playing of the videos, giving out the creatives, collecting the forms, etc.. though the job may be simple. but the experience is really rewarding. you get to know and talk to the different people (judges) that works in the marketing industry. some of them are managing directors, regional managers, marketing managers etc.. and we get to see alot of advertisements, some of which are really good.

IAS (Institute of Advertising of Singapore) is the organiser of this event. the people whom we worked with (mandy, yan, jen .. not really sure how to spell their names) are really friendly and nice to us, they treat us just like friends like that. haha. so after the whole event, we had lunch at the hotel which was provided for everyone. then we were talking with Jen .. and and and, haha. she said they have alot more of such events this year. and she asked if we're interested. me and my friends were like "yes yes yes!" hahaha. so, she said she has our contact no.s and will contact us when she needs our help. haha (:

so, in short, tdy was a really good experience and an eye-opener.

still coughing. stomache hurts.

as for school: a lil busy, kinda tired, quite scary.

and it's only 1 wk of school!!

i have a love-hate relationship with my body system (that does not listens to me)

after a week at school, i've got the gist of what's more to come in this semester..

lots of stuffs to be done for my integrated project (smthg like FYP) and my IS projects. really. researches, roadshows, promotional materials, reports, etc.. you name it. and i've got extra lectures for the nxt 2 saturdays. lecturer says have to rush the lectures so that fieldwork can be done in june.


Time, is really going to fly pass my eyes.

well, school was alright. had IBS (Interactive Business Skills) lecture today. the lecturer's kind of funny la. he's able to capture everyone's attention with his lecturing style. making us laugh with his lame jokes and cheesy/corny lines, yet he managed to deliver the message across at the same time. haha. i quite enjoy his lecture.

this module, IBS, sounds kinda good. cos there's no tests, no exams, no textbook required. cool eh. haha. but there are tons of roleplay to be done though. oh, and we get to learn dining etiquette. you know, the one with many many forks and knives and spoons. haha. ya. and there's a cocktail party too. im nt too sure abt the cocktail party though. think we're gonna be tested on how we ... interact, dress and stuffs like that. sounds easy hor. but! i think otherwise. haha.

anyway, this week is relatively relax as there are only lectures. next week onwards is when the real deal begins. when tutorials start, projects are briefed and all that..

so yup. school, has indeed started.

okay... i think i feel better now. not that scared anymore. HAHA..
actually, i can't wait to see my friends la. it's been 7 wks afterall.
i hope we won't be the noisiest group in class (again?). HA! :D

school's starting tmr! :S aiis. im nervous leh.. scared maybe. apprehensive abt what is install for me...

ok ok. shan't be so pessimistic. must think positive. ha!

anyway, i know your pattern la, (and apparently, im nt the only one who knows your pattern. haha) i can read the signs already... so, now that school is starting, pls try and be nice to me and don't play games ok? i will be really so thankful.

went for the PlanetShakers concert this evening (10th April). i like some of the songs.. but i guess the way of worship is just not really my 'style' .. know what i mean. but nevertheless, it was good (: will be going again tmr with soar.

was reading some of my previous posts over the years. unbelievably, i have been blogging for approximately 4 years already. ha! since sec 3. i remembered reading my sec school friend's blog and then.. i decided to make a blog for myself since i always have so many thoughts running in my head. and i thought, maybe putting my thoughts, memories, daily happenings into words would be a nice way of remembering things.. you know like a diary.

so, i blogged about almost anything la. and reading all the old posts makes me feel a little .. surprised at the things i blogged. not that it's anything bad or what. just that, maybe now, i feel that blogging isn't as personal as it used to be for me last time. i mean, when i first started blogging, not many people knew what blogging is, much less knowing my blog. but now, practically everyone i know has a blog, knows abt blogging and knows my blog. hahaha. so, i don't usually blog much about all the thoughts in my mind. hehe.

looking back, i realised how much i have changed... even the way i blogged change too! haha. i guess that's what they call, growing up...? maybe huh...

anyway, i think, my old posts are quite unbelievably emo. my gosh.. even I, am laughing at my ownself. HAHA! :P but then leh, i think the posts then are very true. cos, i indeed felt that way then. heh.
