reading maketh a man ... one of the table topic tested this wk. and this topic kept staying in my mind ... dnoe why. i think that this topic is rly a rather broad easy one. there are simply so many things that a person cn say. reading rly makes a man. reading can broaden ones horizon, build up ur knowledge, give u a wider prospect of the world, it helps ur understanding, but yet that depends if u are reading superficially, or in depth.
there is this one book that i read, called My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. it is a book that i will nv get sick off. no matter how many times i read it. each time i read it, i derived different meanings frm it. and this is the first time that after reading the book, i feel like crying. there are some phrases that the author has written that sounds so real and sad like its telling u that this is the reality of life. and it just strikes u. like u cnt help but say, yes, how sadly, but true it is. and there are some phrases in her book that rly makes u think. reading can change a person, character is not inbuilt, character is smthg that is develop over time. a person`s character can change. some pple, they read some certain books, and they can get a whole newfound meaning in life. and then they change. and smtimes, the change is nt smthg that other pple can comprehend. reading makes a person grow. intellectually.
reading is smthg that i love alot. cos there are so many things that i cn learn when i read. but the sad thing is, to find a rly gd book isnt easy. and smtimes, i get so busy that i dn have the leisure time to read. miss those days when i can just sit down on the sofa, and enjoy a gd book.
